| The photo is of my niece, Amanda, taken on our hotel room balcony at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this year. If I ever get the sketch to where I like it, this will become an oil painting. |

| I made a couple of small changes to her face and decided I can live with this sketch. Since I don't want to ruin the sketch when I transfer it onto the canvas, I took it to the local UPS Store and had a copy made of the sketch. I will scrub the back of this copy with charcoal, put in on the canvas and trace the lines of the sketch. But first... | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| I painted the canvas with Phathlo Blue mixed with an Alkyd Painting Medium to try to hasten the drying time. I've never used this before, so have no idea how well this will work. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
