Introduction

This story is about the Road to Avonlea couple that should have gotten together--Felix and Izzy. Sure, we all saw them kiss and make up (literally) at the end of the episode "Woman of Importance," but the relationship never seemed to continue after that. Three years after the kiss, Felix would go fight in one of history's bloddiest wars, and Izzy would go on a journey of self-discovery. In either case, their lives would change forever.

The prologue takes place the day before Felix goes overseas, and he and Izzy will see each other for one last time. This section is important to the rest of the story; you'll find out why as you read on.

The first chapter ("The Real Feelings Arose") begins on the day after Christmas (just after the movie Happy Christmas, Miss King). Enjoy discovering Felix and Izzy's long, winding road to couplehood.
