Part 3

Felix and Andreww arrived home just as supper was done cooking.

"Where’s mother and father Felicity?" asked Felix

Sara and Alice had come back inside the house due to it was getting very cold out there.

"I don’t know, I think they went into town with Aunt Hetty, they should be back soon. You should have seen Alice today after her nap, she was all dressed up in Cecily’s best, it was so cute." Replied Felicity

"I bet it was." Felix bent down on one knee as Alice ran into his arms and he lifted her up and held her.

It was 6pm, Janet and Alec had just arrived home, and were sitting in the parlour.

"Mother, Father, I must speak with you." Felix said in a grave tone of voice.

"What is it, Felix?" Janet was scared that he wanted to go back to the front lines.

"I want to go to Halifax! I need to make things right with Izzy and her family. Andrew is coming with me!"

"Felix you are an adult and we trust you to make your own descision, goto Halifax, and mend Izzy’s broken heart for a few days, just come back." Said Alec.

Andrew grabbed his and Sara’s coat.

"Sara are you ready to go?"

"I’ll be there in a minute!" she called back.

Sara gave Alice, Hannah, Gus and Felicity each a kiss on the cheek, and went to the door where Andrew was waiting for her and handed her, her coat.

"I’ll see you tomorrow!" called Sara as she left King Farm.

Morning came early for Andrew and Felix, they would be gone for three days. They were just leaving when Felix became unsure of his actions.

"Andrew, I can’t do this, she already hates me enough, what if, this makes it worse and she’ll never forgive me!" Felix was beyond himself, he was talking so fast that Andrew was only able to make out key words.

"Felix! Pick up your bags, and put them in the cutter. We are going to miss our train." Andrew forced him to pick up his bags and lead him out to the cutter.

They arrived in Halifax in the late afternoon, by the time they had found to right Pettibone house, there were so many in Halifax, it was 6 o’clock. Felix walked up to the door and rang the bell. He heard a very feminine voice call out "I’ll get it!" A very beautiful young women answered the door.
