Izzy ran down the stairs of the Pettibone house.
"Any breakfast Izzy?" Muriel asked.
"No, I have to talk to Cecily," Izzy replied as she grabbed her coat and ran out the door.
Muriel sighed and went off to wake up her husband.

"Cecily!" a voice cried. Cecily who had been milking cows turned to face her friend.
"Izzy! What are you doing here?"
"I had to tell you something."
"So, tell me what it is"
"Well, I sort of meddled in Felix's affairs."
"How can you meddle in Felix's affairs. He's not even here!" Cecily looked quite perplexed.
"I sent him a letter."
"A letter. A letter meddles with Felix's affairs?"
"No, it's what's in the letter. I wrote to Felix and begged him to come home, and"Izzy blushed, "I told him that I loved him. If he comes back your family will think he is a disgrace to them, and he'll resent me for it!" Izzy was on the verge of tears when Cecily started to laugh. "What's so funny?" she asked, wiping her eyes.
"Izzy, don't you get it? Felix is going to come back! Izzy, he worships the ground you walk on! He'd do anything for you, Anything! And don't worry about my family they don't like having him in the Navy, anyway!" By now Cecily was out of breath, she looked at Izzy who was wearing the strangest expression on her face.
"Felix worships the ground I walk on?" With that both girls burst out laughing.
