The original big bad is back, and I can't imagine that he's happy about his seeding. But this "slide" is what happens when you are dusted at the end of a short first season and only appear in a alternate universe and a flashback. The Master did set the standard for the big bads to come in later seasons, unfortunately he doesn't measure up to most of them. All that said, the Master had a certain charm that seemed fresh. And I loved his over-the-top evil spiels that he would immediately undercut himself afterwards.
