Roach family from Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada

1820s, nowadays Main River, New Brunswick. The area became Kent county, from what used to be part of Northumberland county. It was open for settlement. Along with other pioneers, William Roach and Moses Roach petitioned for land and were granted their share of acres in 1824 and 1827.

During a century, their families remained on the old homestead before moving on. A lot of their descendants are still living in Kent county or New Brunswick. Some are based in Ontario and in the United States.

15 of them started tracing their own roots, not even knowing about each other's existence. In the process, they encountered on the web and joined their efforts by communicating on the roachnewbrunswick group.

The tree shown on this site is the fruit of the group. If you have any connection, we would love you to join at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/roachnewbrunswick/
