Camera Basics:
All cameras require light to operate. The minimum amount of light that it takes for a camera to capture a picture is
1 lux. 1 lux is equal to the amount of light that a single candle emits.
The lens captures the image then is processed by digital chips that seperate the picture into Red, Green and Blue pixels. After being split the signal travels by wire to the Camera Control Unit (CCU). The CCU then puts the signal back in order.

The CCU then transmits the video signal from the camera to the video switcher.
