All the actions that work in snapActions also work in Richard Lynch's Hidden Power
Actions (HPA) interface. The XML specs file for snapActions contain all the
information you need to install the same with HPA. You must know how to install
actions with HPA to make use of this information. Read "advanced.rtf" that came with
the HPA installation in Photoshop Elements's folder to learn how to install actions.
Once you understand how to install actions in the HPA interface, use the following
information to extract the relevant data for the HPA interface.
The relevant entries in the XML specs file are in a block enclosed by
tags. For example:
buds_mitered.atn
african_mahogany
African Mahogany Mitered
UIImages/mitered/afma.gif
You then copy and paste the text within the matching tags to the appropriate section
of the HPA index.html file. The matching tags are ,
, , and .
For example, using the information above, you would create the following lines in the
appropriate HPA index.html file:
African Mahogany Mitered
|
If the action comes with a Jpeg preview image (extension .JPG), you can also use it
with HPA. You will need to copy the JPG file to the appropriate HPA set sub-folder
and rename it to the appropriate JPG file name (e.g. 1.jpg, 1s.jpg, 2.jpg, etc.). Of
course, if you're comfortable with editing HTML, you can edit the HPA html files to
use GIF files as previews.
I know these instructions are probably not as clear as you'd like if you're not
familiar with HTML files. My goal is to let users who already know how to add
actions to HPA to extract the relevant information from snapActions, not to provide
step-by-step instructions on how to edit HPA files.
