The Rise and Fall of a Wanderer
As you feel the rain begin to let up, you come across a figure crumpled back against a tree, a small fire burning out before him. He looks up and you notice he is quite young actually, but his eyes look as if they've seen the birth of the earth herself. He smiles gently and a light whisper catches your ears. " Come sit with me, For your time I'll tell you of heroes and knights, of  dragonlands and elves, of dreams and nightmares.  I'll tell you of Wyndjammer the half-dragon, of Skyes the Knight and hero, of Wynd-wolf the brave, and of Matrim with all his gains and follies, listen close to hear the tale...". He takes a deep breath and begins to sing gently, and then his tale begins...
Not to long ago, there was a boy who wandered the lands, searching always for that thing to make him whole. As he traveled he found the one thing that made his heart fly, an act of chivalry, the code of the knight, this boy found that all he wanted in this code. So he traveled on several months in hopes of finding someone wise in the olde code, after an agonizing time, finding no one who seemed to share the love of the olde code, he stumbled into the most wondrous of places he had seen in all his travels, a place to stick in his heart for the rest of his life, he had entered the Artesian Dragonlands. Their he found knights of olde who had the true air and prestige of a virtuous warrior about them. There was one though who seemed to shine above the rest, it was to this man our boy went, and of him he asked to be trained, this man, Sir Oxnard of Dunroven, against many others judgement for Young Wyndjammer was but only half a dragaon, accepted him and began to train him as a squire of the Dragonlands.  This lad trained hard, always striving to study and do his duties, never once complaining of the work, for the goal was all to worth it for him. Sadly our boy didnt know of what would come to these lands he now called home, for not two weeks later in a crash of brimstone and jealousy the Dragonlands collapsed, casting its residence to the winds, unknowing what to do he turned wherever he thought he would find that wondrous code again, he traveled far and wide for almost a year and found many friends, and some great knights aswell, but none who had the determination or knowledge his trainer had. Until  one fateful day he stumbled upon a Sir Ox again, he was a great man, and a knight of the Virtopian Order aswell, but not just a knight, he was to train all new to the realm in the code of chivalry. Well this boy was over joyed at finding his mentor, and fell over himself trying to ask if he could once again join this righteous knight as his squire. The man was no longer in his prime, but somewhere he had a soft spot for  this boy, and decided if he could be a knight, this rough cut gem could be a diamond after all. So he gave our young lad a home, and his training began anew it was hardeer now, and there were more duties and more squires, but this never detered our young friend, for truly the only thing that could sway him was getting lost in the eyes of a lovley woman, Sir ox had a feeling this boy was different, though not sure how yet, he began to  take a personal interest in our boy, he called him Wynd, though he was known as Wyndjammer, but he liked the nickname. So as it was this lad grew to be a well known squire, especially among the ladies, whom for some reason no one understood , not even Wynd, really enjoyed his company.  This was to our lad a blessing and a curse though, for women queens and barmaids alike, noticed when our young wagged his silver tongue, unfortanately so did their lord and husbands. It caused many a battle among men. But one such instance, introduced him to a now life long friend, A young man named Yotohan, who has several times taught and learned from young Wynd.  Alas though, this squire was not meant to be knighted, for again the realms were torn, and the boy was lost, A young squire unable to make a mark on the world...he wandered on..finding many challenges lay ahead, and though he didn't yet know, ahead lay everything good and evil, for this was his end, no longer would Wynd be around as a child, he had grown, and in the ways of his fathers he left his youth behind, and so ended the days of Wyndjammer.. For after that day, when the realms tore asunder, he changed his name, and began anew...but this is the tale of Skyes Wyndsoul. Not Wyndjammer the three year squire. But fret not, There are many tales of Wynd yet, just ask....
The man leans back, his eyes seem to float off in the stars. "Should you want to hear the tale of Skyes? Just return to me, and I will Gladly tell you of his many adventures, for he had many...till then I thank you for the company..." with that the old man fades into nothing, and only a the small fire you now sit at remains...
