FLIGHT TO TOKYO: There's nothing like being awake for over 30 straight hours at a time.  It seemed like it would never end,but it wasn't as bad as I thought.  Flying over the Hudson Bay in Canada was awesome.  There was nothing but mile-wide glaciers below us.  Over Alaska was pretty amazing too.  The plane had a system that gave you all of its info. and it was -74F at 39,000ft. over Alaska and I was next to the emergency exit door; I thought my legs were frozen.

FLIGHT TO BANGKOK: Finally flew into the dark and got some sleep.  Sat next to some wacked out Jap couple.  Got in at the airport about 36 hours after waking up and it was 88F at 1am and was ridiculously humid.

WHAT'S BANGIN' IN BANGKOK: Took a tour of the campus w/ my new buddies Hinto and Som and went downtown to buy some stuff.  Went to a place called THE MALL and  BIG C(a rip off of K-Mart).  Also went out later at night to a bar called FIRST with Fr. Nash, the director, and my friend, Larry.  Met my new Thai buddies Pec, and his sister, Pic, and Gip. Also went to Siam Park ( a water park) which was sooo much fun.  Everyone there had a bad case of BSD.

FOOD/FRUIT:There is nothing like exotic Thai fruits.  I don't think I've ever eaten that much fruit in my lifetime.  The weirdest and best fruit are all over the place.  And try out a fried hot dog with lettuce, ketchup, tomato, and cheese on it....this is probably the closest American food that I will find here other than, of course, Mickey D's down the street.
