Background and Purpose:

Rob Beckwith has been teaching for 40 years with time spend at Coalton and Parsons High Schools, Middletown Township North (N.J.),  Elkins Junior High and since 1993 Elkins High School.

Rob teaches Biology and, Zoology.� He is also Class of 2008 Advisor.

His "Zoo" has become a very popular part of his Zoology class.� Students bring an animal to class for 8 weeks, where a behavior study is done.�  Things such as nesting, feeding, cleaning and many other behaviors are observed.

"It takes a great deal of patience, but I enjoy seeing my students learn to care for something other than themselves."� says Mr. Beckwith.
