August 25, 2003 when all of the children in Dade County went back to school, Travie was resting in Miami Children's ICU. She was admitted August 19, 2003. Due to the new HIPPA Laws, and out of respect for her family, I cannot give any more information. Today, August 30, 2003, sweet Travie is still in the ICU.
Her Mom, Patrice, also a Registered Nurse and her father, Fabian watch over her alternately 24/7. We all love Travie, and wish her a speedy recovery.
9/11/2003 - Travie is still very sick in the ICU, but she is doing better. The family thanks all of you for your support! Keep those letters and cards coming for Travie, so she enjoy them!

UPDATE: May 2008. Thanks to the love of her family and friends, Travie is doing great!. She has made a 100% recovery and miraculously has picked up where she left off. She is now looking to go to college! You can still send gifts and cards to the above address, because this is one special child!
