Our winemaking experiments began in the summer of 2001, following a visit to a friend and avid home winemaker. After a slight bit of research online, we found that not only was there plenty of FREE information available on the topic, but that we happen to live only minutes away from one of the premier home-brewing supply stores in the USA; Beer-Wine Hobby in Woburn, MA. Within a few months we had our first bottling, a Cabernet Merlot blend that is rich nearly beyond words (label shown below), a very encouraging result for our first attempt. Over the following 6 months, we have made Chianti, Blush Chablis, Merlot and Pinot Nior. Pinot Grigio is now in the works. Look for more labels in the coming weeks.
We picked the name "Vineyard In The Sky" because, well, we are making our wine on the seventh floor of a high-rise! |
