Rahul was a
phenomenon. His contributions to history (Two volumes of History of
Central Asia written for the first time in the world), Tibetology
(bringing thousands of rarest of rare manuscripts, and Thankas from the
buddhist monasteries of Tibet) are unparalleled. His contributions to
revival of Buddhism in India after 13th Century along with Bhadant Anand
Kaushlyayan and Bhikshu Jagadish Kashyap will be remembered for
centuries to come. He extended the history of Hindi from thirteen
century to eighth century by discovering the works of Sarahapad (Saraha
Doha Kosh).
We can go on and on to count the services of Rahulji in the field of
Culture and Sciences. Yet it is surprising that not a single University
in India has a Centre of excellence working on the works of Rahulji.
This is particularly Rahuji realizing the time span of life has given
very specific suggestions, directions for future work. Centre therefore
proposes to establish a
RAHUL ACADEMY OF
CULTURE AND SCIENCE.
This ambitious project would cost above 400 Lakhs. But when fully
functional it will have a Pali Center, Centers of Indian study and Asian
study, and a Library. There will also be a Center of Science and Society
and one Centre exclusively devoted to studies on Rahulji.
It will be the only Centre of its kind in the world where culture and science would form integrated whole..
