Since there are so many beaches here in San Diego, we've decided to check out a different one every time we go so we can discover our favorites.

Tide Pools at Cardiff State Beach

We've been wanting to explore some tide pools for a long time. 
We got lucky the day we wanted to go to the beach and there was a very low tide. 
While we didn't see as much as I was hoping for, we still enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, this little crab Justin is looking at was dead...

August 17th, 2008 - Tamarack Surf Beach

Jordan and Scott spent the morning boogie boarding while Justin, Jamie and I played in the sand

Poor Justin got hit with a surf board while playing in the water....

Check out the look on his face!

He was fine and got right back out there!

April 12th, 2008 - Tamarack Surf Beach

It was a beautiful day - but very windy!  We enjoyed watching the surfers and Jordan had a lot of fun Boogie Boarding!

Jamie got sand in his mouth and was trying to get it out with his hand that was covered in more sand! 
Yes, I did eventually help him, but I had to get the pictures first!!  (Bad, Mean Mommy!!)

March 23rd, 2008 - Moonlight Beach

This beach was very crowded!  The boys spent the day splashing in the waves and playing in the sand.

This was Jameson's first experience with sand.  At first, he didn't know what to think of it and kept trying to brush it off of himself.
 He soon discovered that it was fun to play with!

March 8th, 2008 - Torrey Pines State Beach

Torrey pines has miles of walking trails and a visitor center and museum.  We hiked up to the museum and then spent some time with the boys on the beach.
 There were some beautiful overlooks.
