| Special greetings go out to: Scott Shoemaker, Linda Dye, Mark Brethauer, DeAnn Gaither, Alan Imran, Scott Meade, Ashis Das, Tony Holmes, Charles Murphy, Brian Nichols, Shari Snyder, Brian Johnson, Juan Craig, Anne Murray, Beth Clunie, Mark Kindred, Brian Volkman, JB and Patrick C. West, Scott Opsahl, Scott Hottell, Dave Nixon, Gretchen Wagner, Mark Siple, Brian Volkman, Melissa Dietel, Mark Kindred, Paul Reid, James Viewegh, Steve Sweazy, Trent Strader, Lawrence Johnson, Althea Asher, Charles Hilderbrand, Todd Gibbs, Pete Miller, Steve "Lips" Gillespie, David Auerbach, Scott Alexander, Gayle ("Gusty") Baumer and Jeff Wooden. Who do I remember first? My brother Mike, Bill Wiese, Spencer Fox and Alan Miller. You all graduated "life" a bit ahead of the rest of us. You are missed and remembered with love. If I could go back, who would I like to know better? Bill Westrick, Michael Pursley, and Ron Pieratt. My favorite teachers were: Dr. Bolin, Mrs. Horton, Mr. Shaw, Mrs. Traycoff, Mr. Wright, Mrs. Meyer, Miss. Mahin, Mrs. Stumph, Miss O'Connor, Mrs. Kelly. My teacher / friends were: Mr. Fowler and Mr. Hannon whom I knew from church and appreciated more outside the classroom than inside the classroom for various reasons. And I also grew to appreciate them more as an adult than a high-school kid. The mentally ill? Mrs. Stevens, Mr. Dart, Mrs. Bailey My favorite moments? Steve, Pete, Spencer, David and Scott teasing me and giving me a tough time. Driver's ed. A summer computer class. A once-in-a-lifetime trip to Europe with Mrs. Meyer and company. My least favorite things? Acne! My mom as the school nurse. My uncle as a science teacher. A bird taking a dump on my head while walking to school. My secrets? I thought smoking was way cool. I was basically an average student and had to work like hell to accomplish even that. I was (am) gay and wished I could have found the courage to be more open and honest about that then. (No, I was not attracted to Pat.) Here from middle school? "This MANHASSET a trap for you!" * John Ludlow: Sorry for punching you in the face in the hallway after lunch, but it got you to stop poking me in the back! (I warned you.) Here from elementary school? * Lawrence Johnson: We're blood brothers, remember? * Pat West: I think I liked JB better then. * Rick Crafton: Maybe I'll still become a truck driver one of these days! A lot of great memories of your family home on Southport Road. * Jimmy Corry: I've got the whole Space 1999 collection on DVD now! * Scotty Kern: 4H, Science Fair kits, TRS-80, Boy Scouts, sleepovers, etc. It was all great kid-stuff! * Dawn Bell: Your parents had the best Easter egg hunts! I still remember your mom's crappy VW-BUG, and holding your hand on the first day of 1st grade while waiting for the bus together! :) |
