James and Christina were married on February 25, 1791 in Rowan County, North Carolina.  By 1830, several children of James and Christina had married and moved to Indiana.  James and the remainder of his family moved to Indiana in the 1830s.  He settled in Putnam County, Indiana.  James was a landowner.  On July 29, 1842, James deeded one acre of land to Thomas Job to be used as the site for a Methodist Episcopal Church.  James died in Putnam County, Indiana in 1849.  His estate was settled in 1852 with his son, Jesse, presiding over the estate.

Enoch was born in Rowan County, North Carolina.  He died in Tipton County, Indiana, and is buried in the Hills Baptist Church Cemetery.  His wife was also born in North Carolina and died in Tipton County, Indiana.  All of Enoch and Mary’s children were born in Kentucky, which suggests that they spent several years there before moving to Indiana.

Edith was born in Tipton County, Indiana.  Richard and Edith were married on September 22, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Edith loved her grandchildren!  She often helped them with their education by practicing reading and exploring nature.  The grandchildren were allowed over any time and frequently spent the night enjoying quality family time and meals together.  In her later years, Edith suffered from Alzheimer's disease and died from it on August 23, 1988 at age 79.
