| 2006: The Year In Review |
| This year was a fantastic one for our little family. Sophie is bigger, smarter and more beautiful by the day. She has added jumping and singing to her repertoire and loves going to pre-school. Sophie has learned her numbers and ABCs (which were briefly called the Baby Es). We took two quick trips to Montreal without Sophie and savored every minute of our time in the old city. We also rushed back to Eric's parents' house to hug our girl tightly. Rachel taught at the local community college for two semesters and is looking forward to getting back into the classroom when family responsibilities allow it. She's still working full time on the faculty/staff paper at Binghamton University while Eric works full time at the Press & Sun-Bulletin. The one major rough patch of 2006 came right around Sophie's second birthday in June. No, it was not the arrival of the terrible twos. We had historic flooding in our region, which led to a flooded basement and four days without electric service. Downstairs is just about back to normal now, though, and given the devastation throughout our region we're very lucky. Next year promises to be a big one for our family, too. We're expecting a little brother or sister for Sophie in mid-April. Eric's brother, Erin, will be getting married in May. We'd love to hear from you! E-mail Rachel at [email protected] or Eric at [email protected] and tell us how you've been. Thanks for visiting! Eric, Rachel and Sophie Coker |
