Mosaic Reef Crab
| These small crabs may seem harmless to the eye, but in actual fact they are the most poisonous crabs in the world, each bearing enough poison to kill sixty thousand rats! Due to them, a tragedy happened to a family a few decades ago. The father of the family of seven was a fisherman, and one day he managed to catch a crab for his family to eat. The crab was quite small, but the whole family was eager to get a taste of the crab as it was a luxury to be able to eat a crab to them. Seeing this, the mother suggested that she boil a soup containing the crab so that everybody could get a taste of it. Everybody agreed, and so they sat down for their meal a few hours later with the crab soup ready. Everybody drank a bowl of the soup, and soon found out that their limbs were numb. This numbness spread slowly, until they felt that their hands were numb as well. Soon, all of them fell on the floor, dead, and everybody was unknowing of the reason that caused their demise. Soon they came to know that it was because the crab was in face a Mosaic Reef Crab, and the poor family had been unwittingly poisoned to death. |
