Atlas Moth
| Atlas Moths are present in Singapore, and are the biggest moths in the world, having a wingspan of 25 to 30 cm across. These moths have gargantuan larvae, and it so happens that the caterpillars of this moth can be usually found congregating on trees. Now, they can be infected by a certain bacteria/virus which is particularly gruesome. This virus causes them to climb non-stop to the top of a tree, and there, the caterpillar will burst, causing all the juice to spill down the tree, and in the process infecting other caterpillars about the tree and possibly even the tree itself. As such the virus is easily spread, and the poor larvae is a spontaneous combustion device. |
