I picked up this bass from Gelb Music in January of 1999. I've been using it as it came from the store, no modifications necessary. I haven't even needed to adjust the setup on this bass at all. The walnut/bubinga combination gets a very warm tone with good definition and extended but controlled low frequency response. The sound is big and open, with not a lot of growl.
