The Heater

Building a heater for my 65 Econoline  - It never had one but after all these years I want one.

The shop where all this creativity occurs.

The box that was chosen to be my heater houseing (I've been saving it for a long time without knowing what I was saving it for).

The file drawer gets cut up.  I used my jig saw with a metal blade, it bounced a little on the sheet metal but worked OK.

This is after cutting a hole for the fan and building the radiator frame out of an old aluminum window frame that I'd used the glass from before. The heater core was from Bud's ( Bud Sersig- Sherry's Bro.) Caddy from a few years ago- he replaced it when he thought it was plugged- It wasn't -

All major components meet for the first time.  The fan is from the van after I removed the oscillating mechanism.  Fan guard is made from an old stop sign- the rest of the stop sign was used to make the dash in the van, a long time ago.

Current status as of 12-23-01.

Current status as of 01-01-09.  Heater finished and waiting to be installed

Stay tuned for more exciting information about this project.
