My partner Jay and I live a quiet life in Lilburn, an eastern suburb of Atlanta. We enjoy travel, cooking, swimming, gardening and taking care of our dog, Harley. Spring 2008 The year started off with a bang... and a crash, too. On January 5 while out for an afternoon drive, we were involved in a serious auto accident. A negligent driver hit us broadside, flipped our SUV spinning onto its side and finally landing on its roof. No one was seriously injured, but Jay's Highlander was a total loss. Then on March 5, I was rear-ended at a stop sign. My little black Jetta was totaled, and once again no one was hurt. Everybody has new cars now! ALWAYS WEAR SEAT BELTS!! From March through May, I will be the guest organist and choir director at the Presbyterian Church of the New Covenant. It has been many years since I wore both hats, but the church and choir are small so the position has not been overly demanding. Getting the old Baldwin a couple of years ago is proving to be a good investment. My playing skills are up to the challenge, and I'm doing again something I truly love: playing the organ. At the end of May, we're off to Charleston for a few days of Spoleto, She Crab Soup, Jazz and the smell of the ocean. Can't wait! Enjoy the photos! |
