BRIEF THOUGHTS
If you believe in the Gospel what you like, and reject what you don't like,
it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself. (Augustine) Reading: 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Have
you ever stopped to think that Christ never gave anyone money? The riches of the
world were His for the taking, and His to give away, yet when the poor and the hungry
came to Him, He didn't give them money, and He rarely gave them food; He gave them
love and service and the greatest gift of all -- Himself. Reading: Phillippians 2:5-11.
Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay,
and cost you more than you want to pay. Reading: Romans 6:23.
No matter what
your lot in life, build something on it. Reading: Matthew 25:14-30.
It is
great to have your feet on the ground, but keep them moving. Reading I Corinthians

Nothing is more confusing than the person who gives good advice but

No matter how far you fall you

We are apt to believe
what seems pleasant rather than what is true. Reading: Matthew 7:21-27.
The
Bible, God's inerrant Word, is forever true whether or not anyone reads or believe
it; but it becomes of value to you when you get hold of it for yourself. Never leave
a passage of Scripture until it has said something to you. (Robert A. Cook) Reading:

There is a vast difference between putting your nose in
other people's business and putting your heart in other people's problems. Reading:
Romans 12:15.
If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn. If a
child lives with hostility, he learns to fight. If a child lives with fear, he learns
to be apprehensive. If a child lives with jealousy, he learns envy. If a child lives
with tolerance, he learns to be patient. If a child lives with encouragement, he
learns to be confident. If a child lives with praise, he learns to be appreciative.
If a child lives with acceptance, he learns to love. If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself. If a child lives with recognition, he learns it is good
to have a goal. If a child lives with honesty, he learns what truth is. If a child
lives with fairness, he learns justice. If a child lives with security, he learns
to have faith in himself and those about him. If a child lives with friendliness,
he learns the value of friendship. Reading: Ephesians 6:1-4.
No matter what
scales we use, we can never know the weight of another person's burdens. Reading:
Galatians 6:1-5.
Faith is viewing God's promises as reality. Reading: Hebrews
11:1-40 & 12:1-2.
God's love is tough when toughness is in our best interest;
it is gentle when gentleness is needed, and it never ends. Reading: I Corinthians
