Pictures of some lessons

The left hand picture:

The class made frybread in class cut out patterns of dough into bookelets.

Then followed up with frybread stories in class.

The right picture:

The picture is the United States Plege and in calss we saw the plege of alliengence in class.

Followed by New Mexico plege then students say the plege in Navajo and English for both pleges.

We hear Navajo everyday and we speak our language in the classroom.

The left hand picture:

Classroom displays in the hallway with Navajo dressed students who have designed color of clothing themselves.

Besides the Navajo students in the display have digital pictures of actual students in my class. We discussed how Navajo live now compared to there grandmothers and grandfathers back then and most of our discussions take place during our culture time in class.

The right picture:

The students cut out patterns of corn and made booklets. This is colored picture of corn and we discussed the process of corn from it being grown and they wrote their own stories about corn.
