| Kumintang - the graceful hand movement of the wrist going clockwise or counterclockwise while dancing. This is a typical characteristic movement of the hand in Philippine folk dances. |
| Singkil - a royal Muslim dance from a Maranao epic. Singkil got its name from the anklet worn by the princess. She dances around while doing elaborate movements with her fan as she is being wooed by a prince. A court attendant follows her around with an umbrella. |
| Tinikling - a bird dance from Leyte. The dancers emulate the tikling bird's speed, grace & playfulness as they run around and try to avoid the bamboo traps set to catch them. |
