Alamo Jet 2564
This is a nice single ended amp using a single 6V6 power tube.

Other tubes are a single 12AX7 pre-amp tube and a 5Y3 rectifier tube.

This is a photo of the amp after I rebuilt it. The control panel and tolex cleaned up nice. The speaker baffle and grill cloth were replaced in order to mount a 15" replacement speaker.
This is a series of "before" photos of the amp is original condition. The speaker was probably not original, I believe it is an Oxford 12" out of an old Bassman. Controls for Reverb, Volume, Tone, and Tremelo Speed and Intensity. Three inputs, On/Off switch.
View of inside of chassis. Fairly thick steel makes the chassis rigid even though it is only two sided, other side of chassis is chrome plated. Resistors and caps are mounted directly to the tube sockets then grounded directly to the chassis from there. Very cheap circuit board is used mostly for caps and resistors for the reverb/tremelo circuits. Carbon comp resistors and ceramic caps don't do a whole lot for tone quality or quiet operation.

View of control panel after rebuild, it cleaned up real nice. I didn't want to polish any more on it for fear of removing the lettering. With circuit changes that were made the Tone control is now much more useable. One of the input jacks was replaced with a "Boost" switch. Resistance was increased on left input jack for lower gain. ON/Off Power switch was replaced with a three position switch for Triode/Off/Pentode operation.
View of rear of amp after rebuild. Note 15" Emminence alnico speaker.  I picked up a pair of these for less then $20.00 and had the voice coil cover replaced and the magnet recharged on this one. It should easily handle the power from a single 6V6. Hopefully the added SPL from the larger size will help this amp cut through the mix when playing blues in a small club setting.

Inside view of chassis after rebuild. I left the original construction style in place. I changed the pre-amp resistors and caps values and types for better tone w/ increased gain. Tone control circuit is rewired to place it between the second pre-amp stage and the power tube. The amp breaks up much earlier now for very dirty blues and good classic rock. It, can be cleaned up using low input and switching off boost. Triode mode gives lower power output and reduced gain with a darker tone. I added a three prong cord and cleaned up the wiring a bit.
