This freightliner intermodal train was shot at East Didsbury Station in Manchester, England on 9/20/2005
This EWS Class 60 engine and freightliner rock train were shot at a place called Peak Forest.  Two large quarries are located here and there is a nice overhead road bridge for picture taking. It is one of the photographer's favorite locations when in the UK.
The freightliner engines were built by EMD in Canada. The class 60 engine is the last class of British built diesels and were EMD's answer to the class 59's which a couple of rock quarries in southwest England bought to haul their own stone trains.  The class 59 is basically an SD40-2 squeezed into the British loading gauge.
