Weird Mushrooms

After 40 or so years of living in our community I have come across lately with this weird type of mushroom. It looks like the common bread we call “monay”. I used to gather mushrooms (in my childhood days) we use as viand during rainy seasons usually September but this is the only time I have seen this type. And it grew even in summer
Maybe the experts out of you guys knew what is this kind of fungi (genus, species). It grew in rotten wood and even in plain soil. It has white to yellowish color. Its size is from 1/2 inch (the smallest I saw) to about 3” the biggest I saw.
The weird idea is, PAG-ASA (Philippines weather agency) lately announced there might be some prolonged dry season or a drought. It is possible a lot of crops will be damaged or will not grow.
I remembered the Israelites were given manna by God in the dessert. What if this mushroom is the New Age version of the Manna in the Dessert. The weird mushrooms spores can be propagated and mass produced to feed the people during the drought.
