SHINING FOR CHRIST -- OUR LIGHT TO THE FUTURE
Resurrection Lutheran Church of Scottsdale, AZ
When looking to the future, The American Lutheran Church purchased land on Greenway Road East of Tatum in Scottsdale, AZ in 1978 That same year, Pastor Bederman was called to establish the new church of RLC
With 99 members in 1980, RLC was officially organized as a church congregation.
With a dream and commitment, and hard work, the members were able to finance the building of a Sanctuary. The ground breaking was held in December, 1981. In the following year, they moved into the new building.
In 1984, it became apparent that there was a need for more space. That challenge was met and the members built Fellowship Hall.
With the need for more space, the "SHINING FOR CHRIST" campaign was held, with ground breaking in 1998. This added a kitchen and an Educational building. This enabled us to open a Pre-school/Day-school.
Now with our fast growing membership, we are starting a Capital Improvement Campaign. See other pages for details.
