Christina Leigh

Hi Everyone. Well it certainly has been a long strange trip for me. Lots of changes for me over the last 2 years or so. Although these changes at the beginning started as more physical exterior changes I have come to understand that they have and always have been internal spiritual ones of self discovery. There has also been incredible joy of making many new and holding onto the special old ones. My list of friends include  Sandy M, Lee and John, Kristina K, Susan and Kay, Donna, Mike S, Jack G, Dr. Nubel, Rev. Stephens and my new friends at the  UU Church. Special thanks to Cyndy, the most special person still in my world and my cousin Esta who has stood by my side, especially the last few years.

Life Growing Up
I was born back in the middle of this wonderfull 20 th. century. I grew up in NYC for my first 33 years and then transplanted this body to Central NJ. I experienced the late 60's and early 70's in college. I was very involved in progressive political issues then and have tried to keep that flame alive within me. I saw the Beatles play at Shea Stadium, went to Woodstock and  saw lots of concerts at the Fillmore East "Especially the GreatFul Dead". I have always enjoyed teaching and sharing life experiences and decided to go back to school after I graduated college in 72 to get my teaching certification in early childhood education. I taught pre-school for a few years, tutored calculus and physics "Not to my pre-school students silly". Somewhere in the early 1980's I decided to go back to school "Again" and get my BSEE. I had some interesting jobs as a design engineer over the next 10 years in the Fusion Tokamak and Particle accelerator fields. Somewhere in that time I had the loves of my life, my two children Jeffrey age 12 and Mitchell age 10. The last several years I have explored doing carpentry, home repair,  decorating and remodeling. Now I am back in school "Again" taking some Networking courses

Something that has become very important to me over the last two years  is my involvement in the Unitarian Universalist "UU" Church.

My Family
Both of my sons if I must say are  intelligent and very active. My youngest son is into sports " including gymnastics", computers, reading and understanding his feelings. My older son is more of the artist type. Both spend endless hours on the computer and watching TV  "The Discovery and Sci-fi Channel". Pokemon cards still seem to be all over our house, well with about 1,000 other toys, books, legoo's, clothing, well you get the picture. My partner, what can I say. We have had our ups and downs and struggles. But she and our children are  the love of my life. We all still try to live each day  learning and practicing the values of common respect, being  honest and caring for ourselves and others..

Finally, have I mentioned that  anyone who can put up with me needs to get a gold medal.
