All our communities are connected together by a strong bond of common faith. We are in agreement when it comes to our core beliefs. There may be differences in terms of specific details, but we are united in the essentials. We see ourselves as belonging to the "evangelical" branch of Christianity. We define "evangelical" to mean "adhering to the essentials of Christianity," but we do not subscribe to its biased denominational connotation today. Our faith and practice is biblical and Christ-centered. However, for the purpose of further clarifying our theological position, we can be categorized as "neo-Pentecostal," because we believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit but not in speaking in tongues as the only possible initial evidence. Specifically, we believe in the following:
- We believe that the Christian Holy Bible is the only true Word of God for all generations (2 Tim 3:16-17).
- We believe that there are only sixty-six books in this Bible, as recognized by all Evangelical and Pentecostal churches worldwide. We do not accept the Apocrypha or the Deuterocanonica as inspired (Rev 22:18-19).
- We believe in the Tri-unity of God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:18-20) They are not three Gods but one God in three Persons.
- We believe that all men have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). Therefore all men need to be born again, that is to be saved by having a new heart through the Holy Spirit, and to come to the saving knowledge of the truth which is found in Jesus Christ alone (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
- We believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, the Savior, Christ our Lord (Rom 10:9-10). He came to save sinners, giving his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). He is the Good News of God (Acts 13:32-33), and is therefore the only true object of faith and worship.
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone � and not by works of self-righteousness (Eph 2:8-10). Therefore, each one must repent and believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved (Acts 2:38). Each one must also choose to remain in Him in order to remain saved. For we also believe that faith without works is dead (James 2:17).
- We believe that God gives the Holy Spirit to everyone who obeys His Gospel (Acts 5:32). He is the presence and power of God in every true believer (John 14:15-21). Receiving the Holy Sprit is a personal experience that can be verified by others (Acts 10:44-46). The proof of such a gift are varied and cannot be limited to just speaking in tongues.
- We believe in the universal church created by the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:40-47. This is the only true church that continues to exist today. It exists in the form of various local Christ-centered churches or communities scattered throughout the world (1 Cor 1:2). We recognize every Bible-believing Christian church that adheres to the fundamental truths of the Christian faith as taught by the apostles in the New Testament, and as confirmed by the prophets in the Old Testament. We recognize that there may be some differences on minor points of doctrine among the various local churches or communities, but each one belongs to one true body of Christ (Ephesians 4:1-5), if they believe in Him who is the only true Savior of the world, Jesus Christ our Lord and God.
- We believe that every true believer becomes a member of this church at the time of their new birth through the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:12-13). But each one must decide which local church they wish to join (Acts 9:26). Each local chruch has its own strengths and weaknesses. We do not believe that any local church can claim that they are the only true church of Jesus Christ our Lord.
- We believe that Jesus Christ will come again to establish the kingdom of God once and for all here on earth (1 Cor 15:24-28). Our ultimate destination is not heaven per se, but a new heaven and a new earth. No one knows the day or the hour of His coming (Matt 24:30-36), but we believe He will come again and come down literally, in bodily form, from heaven. This is the reason why we do not believe in setting dates. We simply wait in eager and watchful expectation for His second coming at all times (1 Thess 5:1-11). Meanwhile, we remain diligent in our service to Him, so that when He comes we will not be ashamed.
