John Frederick Ploger was born in Broaker Denmark known now as Broager Germany/Denmark on Sept 7, 1839 and died in July 28, 1899 in Hinkley, Illinois USA. . He married Margaretha Mary Chrickson (6-28-1840 to 10-4-1900) in Broager. Margarehta and the 3 youngest children Peter Hans, Marg, and Christ Frederich) came to New York, New York, USA in 1886 November 12th on the Noodland ship that departed from Antwerp, Belgium. The father and 2 oldest boys, James Thomas and John Otto came over earlier. We do not yet have those records, as we are still researching them. The girl Marg died on the way over to the USA and was buried at sea. Her cause of death is not known. |
