Jesus Is All

Lately I had come to a realization that had me absolutely dumbfounded.  I had a revelation about two key "cracks" in my own foundation.  While this revelation is not a huge "blockbuster headline" or "newsflash" to anyone, they are so key to our walk with Jesus.  At first, I felt completely stupid.  I thought of all things, how could this be a crack, but it was.  Are you ready for the big revelation?  Okay here it is.....two key points to victory in our walk with the Lord that we need to remember:

1.  JESUS IS ALL WE HAVE
2.  NOTHING CAN TAKE HIM AWAY FROM US

Go ahead and say it......"DUH".  I know, it is so simple....now can you see why I felt so stupid?

You see, one night we can go to sleep and everything is perfectly fine.  Everything in our lives is lined up just right and things are going exactly how we want them to.  But oh how things can change so quickly......
When you wake up the next morning 25 minutes late how will you react?  Then when you go to do your hair and there is that one piece that will just not stay put what will you do?  Then what will you do when you walk down the stairs for a quick bowl of cereal and once you have it poured you realize there is no milk to go along?  How about when your spouse looks at you and says you look like you just got run over by a mack truck, what is wrong?  How will you react when you step out the front door, only to find that as you stepped into a huge mud puddle, you ruined your new Bugle Boy Khakis and Doc Martin Shoes?  Then what will you say when you pick up the morning paper to find that not only is it sopping wet from the rain but it also missing the Sports section with all the highlights from lastnights game that you could not see because you were up late working on other things?  Then when you get to work, what will you do when you accidently closed that locked car door with the keys still in the ignition (and that is the only set of keys to your car)?  How will you react when you walk into your office and yesterday's work is on your desk with editorial changes needed to be returned to your boss ten minutes ago?  What do you say to the person who asks you how your morning is going with that cheesy grin on their face because they rolled out of bed 15 minutes before they had to be at work and still look 100 times better than you?  How will you react when you find out that your lunch has gone bad because when you got to work you forgot to put it in the refrigerator (and to make things "worse" you have no money on you to even buy lunch today)?  When you return from lunch, how will you feel when the guy next to you tells you that you have bad breath?  What will you say when your boss asks you to take the equivelant of 3 hours work home with you and also asks you to be in an hour early tomorrow?  When you finally get to leave, what do you say when you get in your car (which was broken in to by the police for you when you locked your keys inside) and realize you may not have enough gas to get you home, and again no money on you to even buy a gallon of gas?  How will you react when you get stuck in rush hour traffic for over an hour and when you finally reach your exit you find it is blocked off due to a huge accident?  What do you say when you walk in the door of your house to find everyone who is home complaining because you are late and they need to leave in 5 minutes to go to church?  How will you react to the cold meal you are eating because you were so late it could not stay warm?

Well the more important question is will you walk by sight through this day or by faith?  You see, the Bible clearly says in
Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him." We are not to go by what we see, even when it is a horrifying sight.  We are to walk in faith and love and that should be our reactions.

The Bible also says
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, not principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  ROMANS 8:35-39.  So even in the roughest times we need to remember NOTHING can separate us from the very one we get up for in the morning.  We need to remember that God's love is forever!!!!  Nothing means.......NOTHING.

One time I heard someone tell me: "I woke up this morning and did not see my name in the obituary section so I am in good shape."  So cheer up and PRAISE GOD, things could be "worse."   Although, if you saw your name in the obituary section when you read the paper, it may be the best thing you could read from your mansion above.  Remember, not even death can take away our Jesus.

God bless you guys, I love you all and more importantly, Jesus loves you more!!
