·         How to read a cladogram and tree diagram. Be able to tell which organisms are related/more similar.

·         How to determine phenotype  when given the genotype  and representative alleles (Example Problem: Y is dominant to y; Y codes for yellow.  What is the phenotype of a Yy individual? What is the phenotype of a yy individual?)

·         How to do a Punnett Square and determine the genotypes/phenotypes of the offspring for one or two traits

·         Know the Hardy-Weinberg formula and that p+q=1.0

·         Know how to determine allele frequencies and expected genotype frequencies in a population of unknown genotypes(solve a problem similar to Question #1 on homework)

·         Know all material on the three lab handouts: Plant-like Protists/Plants Part I; Plants Part II; and Fungi.

·         Be sure to study quizzes!!!
