I Believe
I believe in miracles,
and dreams that will come true,
I believe in tender moments,
and friendship through and through.
I believe in stardust,
and moonbeams all aglow,
I believe there's magic,
and more than we know.
I believe in reaching out,
and touching from the heart,
I believe that if we touch,
a gift we can impart.
I believe that if you cry,
Your tears are not in vain,
and when your sad and lonely,
Others will know your pain.
I believe that if we laugh,
a sparkle starts to shine,
and I know that spark will spread,
From more hearts than just mine.
I believe that hidden,
In the quiet of the night,
there are magic moths and gypsies,
a fairy and a sprite.
I believe that if you dance,
The dances of your heart,
the greater happiness you will find,
a brand new way to start.
I believe the gifts you have,
are there for you to share,
and when you give them from the heart,
the whole world knows you care.
I believe that if you give,
even just to one,
that gift will grow in magnitude,
before the day is done.
I believe that comfort comes,
from giving part of me,
and if I share with others,
there's more for all to see.
I believe that love is still,
the greatest gift of all,
and when it's given from the heart,
then none of us will fall.

You told me you loved me,
I wish it were true,
You told me you missed me,
I missed you too.
When you walked out the door,
I started to cry,
You just kept walking,
Didn't even say goodbye.
Now your back
it isn't the same,
With me it was real,
with you, just a game.
It's true,
I once loved you,
But that was before,
Now you say you love me,
but it doesn't matter anymore.
I died,
I died over you,
I thought it was over,
You thought it was too.
I died in sadness,
I died in despair,
and now I find out,
You really did care.

My Face
I walk along this lonely road,
A path I choose,
to walk alone.
There is no life here,
all but me is dead.
I walk along,
bowing my head.
The road is cold,
and very dark,
The smell of death,
is life's only mark.
How did I get here?
What happened in my life?
My soul feels so empty,
I don't think I can fight.
My face, it is swollen,
stained with so many tears,
My age is showing,
from all those saddened years.
I want to cry out,
but it's my life I fear,
I don't want to go back,
nor do I want to stay here.
I walk along,
till I come to a fork in the road,
On one side there is death,
the other a beautiful rose.
I'm so confused,
Which road do I choose?
Life or death?
In my old life,
I would lose.
I see a shadow of a man,
on the life path.
As he comes closer,
I see that this man is not sad.
He is smiling,
a face I now see,
A face full of hope,
and a promise of life,
This face belongs to me.
