| The babies were on what is called an angel frame. It is a square frame that stands above their heads and holds the breathing tube. This keeps them from moving their heads too much and pulling it out. They are also on minimal stimulation which is used to reduce their stress. It is usually between the first 5 to 7 days of life that the doctors do this. This is to adjust them to life outside the womb. They are on high frequency ventilatos for their breathing and they are on/under bilirubin lights for Jaundice. |
