Shishio & Yumi

         Yumi      ?

At First Sight: I would like to know what happened myself. But I don't think Yumi fell in love with Shishio at the first glance. The love must have developed later. 

Relationship: Yumi loves Shishio with all her heart. To Yumi, he is everything to her. I know she doesn't love him just because of his power or even ambitions. She loves the man he is, and is willing to do anything for him. She even sacrifices her life trying to help him defeat Kenshin. And about Shishio. There are few people he trusts, and Yumi is certainly one of them. He tells her things: his dreams, his plans. He would never do that if he doesn't trust and love her.
 

             I feel sorry for this couple. Mostly for Yumi. At first, I thought her to be just some 'Shishio's woman', but later, she proves to be really important to him and his business And I have to apologize for thinking no good of her in the first place, now that I know her love for him is pure. I was really touched when I saw her step up protectively in front of Shishio and beg Kenshin to leave him alone. But then Shishio just pierced the sword right through her. Maybe he has his own logic about that. But I really disapprove of such action. Why couldn't Shishio get rid of that stupid idea of taking over Japan and live a peaceful life with Yumi. I'm sure she would want nothing more than that. I think she only helps him with his plans because she knows it's what he wants to do.
