HTML/Internet: This introductory course was intended to cover the developmental capabilities of the HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) code and proper set up, and creation of personal or business Internet web sites. HTML is the foundation of the entire World Wide Web, and this course was designed for the student seeking a working knowledge of creating HTML files �by hand.� We learned to code HTML from scratch, and move beyond using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editing tool (such as Microsoft�s FrontPage). We were introduced to the structure of HTML documents, good markup techniques, and the concept of validation. Functional topics will include text formatting, using lists, tables, frames, adding color, inserting images and creating hyper links.
