R.J. Pulley has been a woodcarver all of his life, but only began competing about 25 years ago. The woodcarvers of Silver Dollar City inspired and encouraged him to pursue his talent. His work has shown and successfully competed in shows in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. His collection of prize ribbons include many "First Prize" as well as "Best of Show".
The sculptures shown on the Gallery Page have been carved from a variety of woods, including butternut, cottonwood bark, basswood, and cedar. He had also used oak, walnut, catalpa, and many others. One of his most popular products are his eagle head busts, created for gifts to young men receiving their Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America. We have shipped carvings all over the country.
If you have a specific idea in mind, please don't hesitate to discuss its possibiliy with R.J. You can send him an email message if interested in lessons, sales, or other information.
