Corporate Logos

I have always been interested in how an organization sums up its character in its logo.  I have been working with title and logo designs since grade school.

I appoach the design in two ways.  The first being a way to capture the intended culture of a company (many of these companies were start-ups) and the specific industry that they are in.  The second angle I use is finding a way to make the logo easily recognizable from a distance.  The rest is a combination of hand drawings and special software filters.  All the logos were coordinated in detail to the client's satisfaction.

Some of these design are still in use, others were just submittals for alternative logos.

In case you were wondering this interlocking set of squares is my personal logo.  If corporate America can have one than I can too.

Logos are everywhere.  I am fascinated how people around the world easily recognize the Coca-Cola logo.

McDonald's arches are just as successful at being quickly recognized.  On a trip to Japan, on an evening when I was hungry, I spotted what I thought to be the golden arches.  But it turned out to be a McDonald's want-to-be that used suspiciously similar yellow arches (like in "Coming to America").

Needless the say the hamburger had its shorcomings too.

Note: No Corporations were harmed in the production of these logos. Any resemblence to any logo is purely coincidental..
