James Brock resided in Pendleton, SC then GA and in Franklin Co. TN by 1812. Living in the Loftis area of Fayette Co., AL by 1823. James farmed 960 acres with his children and four slaves until 1844. He was then elected Justice of the Peace, which he served until 1849, when his son was elected to office.
