1817- David and Elizabeth Clapp moved from IL to Old Miller Co., AR near
the Red River by George and Adam Lawrence Jr.

1830-- Red River Co., TX. Wavell Colony Register family #68
"122 families registered in Arthur G. Wavell's Colony between
1826-1830. Colony boundaries began at Sulphur Fork & Red
River at Natchitoches, upward & parallel w/ Red River to the
mouth of the Kiamish. The colony never came to be but the
settlers received land grants in the area. Wavell returned to
England."

David Clapp- 25 cattle, 6 work horses and 1 metal clock.
