My TEDDLETON/TETTLETON Family

The earliest documentation on my family begins with Firney Teddleton, born 1808 in NC. He married an Irish lady, Mary. They resided in White Co.,TN from 1834 to his death. They had children, Elisabeth, Jane, Mary, William, Benjamin, David and John Wesley(My GGGGrandfather).

Jane was married to Robert England, Aug. 3, 1854. Mary would marry John England, Jr., Feb. 26, 1863. William was wed to Lucinda Shoulders, March 8, 1859. John Wesley married my GGGGrandmother, Mary Austin, Nov. 27, 1865 in White Co., TN.

John Wesley was born Dec. 22, 1842. He and Mary Austin had 6 children, James Robert(My GGGrandfather), Charley, Rebecca, Lola, Helen E., and David C.. This family migrated to Grayson Co., TX about 1890. John Wesley died and is buried in Collinsville, Grayson Co., TX.

James Robert married my GGGrandmother, Arminta Bradley, about 1892. Charley married Cora Baker July 9, 1893 in Randolph Co., AR.

James Robert was born Nov. 2, 1866 in White Co., TN. By 1893, he and his family resided in Grayson Co., TX, along with mother-in-law, Dillia Bradley. They migrated to Comache Co., OK by 1910. James died Feb. 9, 1928 in Duncan, OK.
James and Minty had 10 children, all born in TX. Cassius A.(Cass), Dilla M., James Quinton(Boss, he's my GGrandfather), Linna B., Salley Bradley, Richard B.,John E., Rebecca Alice, Beecher B.(Mike), and Ruth.

Cassius A. was born Jan 26, 1893 in Grayson Co., TX. He married Mider L Shorter, June 16, 1917 in Baird, OK. Cass died Dec., 1966 in Duncan, OK.

James Quinton was born Feb. 3, 1893. He married my GGrandmother, Annie Eliza Thomas, Dec. 16, 1917 in Duncan, OK. "Boss" died Aug. 16, 1960 in Duncan, OK.

Boss and Annie had 6 children. In this picture are Ray Leslie born Jan. 7, 1938. James Paul born Dec. 31, 1929 and Joyce M. born Nov. 16, 1918. Twins, Thelma Frances and Velma Ruth were born Spt. 30, 1926. Both died just before their first birthdays.

My Grandmother was born April 22, 1920 and was named Jim-A-Lu, I called her MeMa.

Jim-A-Lu married Jeff Tompkins Feb. 24 , 1939 in Edmond, OK. Together they had six children.

Here she is with Roberta, LaWanna(my MOM), Frances, Rick and Mike.

LaDonna is the baby. All the children were born in the Deer Creek, OK area.

My MeMa died July 30, 1977 in Edmond, OK.

Linna B. was born July 31, 1897. She passed away April 10, 1937.

Sallie Bradley was born Aug. 27, 1899. She married William Wardall, Aug. 10, 1934 in Northwood, IA. They had children Grace Diane and Thomas William. Sallie died May 18, 1990 in Edmond, Ok. She is seen here with daughter Diane.
