| There was a time when I felt despair |
| all alone, frantic, a sadness overcame me |
| then there was an angel |
| I heard her, she touched my life |
| opened my mind to feelings |
| brought me back to the world |
| with my friends and family dear |
| she made me believe in a dream, |
| life worth living, goals to struggle for, |
| we said go back to your basics |
| care for yourself and your family |
| our secret among angels, I remembered |
| all of my loved ones; and the sadness |
| fades behind love and dreams. |
| confidence in self carries the day |
| brought me a prayer of peace |
| and goals for the future, leading questions |
| when I am lonely or weak |
| I call to her and listen |
| strong and accomplished |
| I call her |
| empathy for others |
| I call on her and listen |
| often she listens and touches |
| me again; gently reassuring me |
| life goes on |
| among angels |
| guardians, family, friends |
| caring for each other |
| communion of spirits |
