If you believe the campaign literature you've seen is about me, driven by wrongdoing by the city that paints me as their victim, you have missed the most important point. |
The accounting system that holds the governmental machinery and the individuals who operate it responsible for their behavior has been virtually destroyed by a corrupted few that trades short term gains for themselves and their cronies for your long term interests. |
| This City Administration has admitted to failures to keep important records while operating in virtual secrecy outside of public meetings. Vital decisions are made in undocumented city staff meetings, who then increase the price for researching city records to discourage the prying eyes of the public. |
| Meeting times are set to conflict with working hours so you won't show up. If you do, you must sit through hours of scheduled issues and decisions that you are excluded from so that at the very end of the meeting, you can say your peace, to an empty house. Only the camera and people who don't care what you think will hear you. |

The story I tell is meant to explain to you how you got ENRONED and that of everyone running for city offices this time around, only three of us have your interest in mind. |

As for punishing my tormentors, I leave that to God in his mercy. My intention is to have the commission hire a special prosecutor to conduct an investigation, to audit the previous administration, and to determine what must be done to keep the city commission and administration representative of the residents of St. Augustine. |

Yes, if elected I will make a motion to repeal 2000-41 and 2000-9. But I will also make it more difficult for special deals with powerful families that allows exceptions to first period historic guidelines or zoning laws for which all other residents are forced to comply. |

The city's parking customers won't set city policy for parking needs, and systematic code violators won't sit on the Code Enforcement Board. Architects serving on the Zoning Board won't walk around the table to represent a client, then walk back around and make decisions on your behalf. |
| The checks and balances between legislative, executive and judicial branches that provide safety for citizens have been disrupted by this city administration. The due process we all depend upon is corrupted on behalf of a few powerful families who resist the idea of Federal rules for everybody. Obstructing Justice by systemic violation of the due process of law is a grievous injury to America's motto, "United We Stand" placing the rule of law in danger. Take up your democratic arms and VOTE September 10th. |
