Light Wave 5.5

LightWave is one of those good ol favourite 3D rendering & modeling suites that gained popularity amongst the pioneers of the Amiga and early 3D graphics. LightWave has been around for a while and has been a solid performer with a clean and simple UI and all the bread n butter features of most other 3D packages, and can turn out to be competitively priced at $700.00 LW5.5 Modeler.

Nowadays we have gone up to LW 7.0 however, its familiarities still remain. My involvement with this product was back when I was working at a game developer company Virtual Paradigm (which exists no more so don't go out looking for it :) )

One of the many things needed was a LW object loader, fairly old code but does the job and is fairly straight forward.Unfortunately it wont work with 7.0 as the file format has changed, and I haven't tested to see if its good for 6.0 or 6.5 ..

LWO LwoLoader.zip Here it is , ready to go, not too hard to get it going, I hope, again I must stress I'm rushing through this and if its really not usable then too bad :P , wait till I have time to fix it up.
