So life has been okay I guess. Had some really crappy days at work, oy, like crying about them crappy. But it's been a lot better this week. (I'm also not working straight days this week lol) So I'm feeling better. Had some off time, hopefully resolved that. Had some BAD miscommunications too. But life always works out in the end for me. And I always seem to meet all the really nice people in the world. I lost my cell phone a few weeks ago and I figured it was gone forever but it got returned to me! And they wouldn't even accept a reward for it. Just nice people who gave me my cell phone back. They drove to my house to return it for me. I keep telling Grant that his theory of people generally being scum is unfounded b/c I always meet such nice people. He then procedeed to tell me that God keeps a special eye on me and that I am very protected by Him. Mom agreed, so did Dad lol. Wel I finally got the pictures developed and back from the girls. So I shall do my comparison.

Wow, I know, two days in a row! Had a blast last night!! After work Erin, Cassie and I went to Bostin Pizza. We got there around 11:30 and we didn't leave until 1:45. We talked for quite a while! It was just like old times. Honestly I think that I was soo happy that it almost hurt. My heart was definitely smiling. Those girls mean soo much to me that having them close again is just so wonderful. I am pretty sure that one of the reason's I got a job at that Tim Hortons' was b/c Erin worked there. B/C we've worked together we've seen more of eachother and built a closer relationship. I was talking to her about this yesterday and she said that she did need me and I think God knew that, but He also knew that I needed her. And in turn that brought me back to Cassie and I need them both. They have this amazing gift of always making me feel better no matter what happened in my life. I laugh with them like I've never laughed with anybody before. It's so funny, but it always seems to happen in the middle of a restrauant, and I laugh loud!! (eek) So just gushing about how excited I am to have my girls back in my life!!

So tonight's youth event was the pool party/BBQ. It was great. We used Jordan's pool, even though Jordan's in New York and his parents are in Bostin. But Angela came like part way through. We made hamburgers and had LOADS of pop and swam and had a great time. I love swimming, Jordan's got a really nice kidney shaped pool. Went to Tim Hortons afterwards to get some warm drinks, got a bit chilly from being wet and outside and all. But I've really enjoyed being a youth leader this year. I've had tons of fun planning events and just getting to know the kids in the youth group. What an amazing bunch of students. We are getting a new Student Ministries Director in September so that will be nice. He's married and has 2 or 3 children, I don't remember. But it will be good to have him on board. Anyways I need to get some sleep, so I'm outie! Adios!

So Briar had her baby on Wednesday June 28! She had a baby boy! His name is Rowan. I went to visit her at home yesterday! He is soo cute, and when I got to hold him he was awake so I could see his beautiful eyes. He is soo adorable! In fact all 3 of her children are. Rowan was 7lbs 14oz. It was really nice to see Briar. It was also sooo sweet that she put me on the calling list. Seeing as I'm not in touch with the Virgil "grapevine" I had no way of finding out when Briar was going in to have her baby. But she called me the day after at the hospital to let me know. I was so touched. I also went to Old Navy to buy some baby stuff. It being her first boy and all. Got this cutest little sleep that is dark brown has a bib design on it with the words "I'm hungry" on the bib. Soo cute. I also got her a bib (an old tradition from before lol), some baby socks, a pack of 3 sleepers and a shirt that says "Little Sleepy Head". And in talking to Briar she doesn't have a lot of boy clothes. She told me she was looking through all her old baby clothes for the girls and not too much of it was transferable to wear for boys. He's got a fair amount of hair too for a newborn. He was very sweet to hold. Briar took a picture of us with her digital. I hope I can get a copy of it. It felt really good to be here for Rowan's birth like I was for Katin's. I kinda missed Berlin's birth and first 4 months of life. But let's not talk about that. Briar said that in about a month or so she'd be up to having a Settlers night with Grant and I. (she had a cesarean so she needs some time to recover and well she has a newborn) But it was good to see Briar and the kids.

Went to Sara and Martin's wedding on Saturday. Had a really good time. Grant impressed me with his dancing abilities. I know that sounds weird but let me explain. Grant and I have been to many weddings and we dance, and he dances fine. I have the unfortunate habit of leading if I don't feel I'm being led enough but whateves. Well a Frank Sinatra song came on and Grant asked me to dance and I was making a point of trying very hard NOT to lead. And since it was Sinatra he knew the beat and the song so he lead awesome! We were the only ones on the dance floor (except when the VERY drunk groom's mother fell off her chair onto the dance floor) but it didn't feel awkward. In fact it felt awesome, so sweet. I knew he had it in him but it just took a Sinatra song to bring it out. So I was so happy and we danced a few more times after that with very similar results It was nice, it was very nice. And then an Allison Krause song came on (When You Say Nothing At All) which I love and kinda reminds me of Grant, so when we were dancing to that song, I sang it to him. And I got that feeling of being the only ones in the room. I love that boy soo much. Anyways I need to get some dishes done before I go off to work. TTYL!
