I am a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester, UK and this site contains information about most of my recent as well as past research interests. The website has been divided into current projects, past projects
recent publications and downloads. The download section contains names of some of the engineering software that I developed. These
software can be very useful for teaching purposes and further information can be requested via email
Current Projects
- Development and testing of soft armour for the protection of personnel and equipment against ballistic impact (blast and high speed fragments)
The project looks at various novel ideas to develop armour material that is much more flexible and wearable as compared with traditional body armour. Different concepts involving various combinations of different shear thickening fluids (existing and new) and high performance S-2 glass fabrics (2D and 3D woven) are being evaluated.
- Use of X-ray micro tomography for damage detection and characterisation More
Past Projects
- Modeling and characterization of impact damage in adhesively bonded joints of woven composites
This was the topic for my PhD research. You can read more about this by clicking on ... More
- Void distribution in metallic foams using X - ray micro-tomography
- Guidelines for industry on Profiling of Blank holder force in Deep Drawing
