SEDER!!!
SCIENCE:  here is a chance to show them where wine comes from. squeeze grapes with them and have it at snack time.

HAGGADAH WINE PAGE:
Cut out from paper towels, four cups and have the children squeeze grape juice (from a dropper) into it. they will watch how it absorbs and it will stay purple. These four cups can be your wine page or kaddish page in your haggadah..

haggadah:
salt water:
My humble opinion is that not all children need a twelve step haggadah. I therefore thought of the ideas of the story and ideas at the seder table that the children will get. I made a few pages in it and that is their haggadah. we took pictures of the kids doing each page and they have thier whole class in the haggadah. (only three/four pple in each picture).
example:
splitting the sea page (see story for splitting the sea) make the craft into a page and then take a picture of some kids walking through the sea
wine page: see above
matzah page: see matzah
salt page : see above
afikomen page: see matzah
ma nishtanah page: just the page decorated...so parents can have a copy of it
leshanah habbah page: make a kotel out of color paper or sponge paint
HAGGADAH SALT WATER PAGE:
have the children peel eggs in the morning. as snack time eat eggs in salt water. to make the page. have the children glue salt all over the paper then in one circle glue egg shells so that it is an egg in salt water!
CUTE TIP: whenever the children cry around this time tell them to taste their tears.
pillow for sleeping:
take a pillow case and place tissue paper down on the pillow case. Different colors, large boxes. Paint water on it, it will dye the pillow case in pretty pastel colors.
Another cute version of this, is to write anything you want (example: my seder) out of masking tape. when the children paint with water , the dye will not go through the tape. The result will be a pillow case dyed everywhere but the words you had in tape (remove the tape)
an easier way is to put food coloring in the water bottles and use that as a direct dye and forget tissue paper!
KIDDUSH CUP AND PLATE
Buy the fancy hard clear plastic plates and cups (cocktail cups) and have the children glue tissue paper boxes (small) onto it. dillute glue with some water and paint over it after they have put the tissue paper on. it is a pretty and proffessional look when it dries. enjoy!
Marror
An interesting twist to explain to your children about food that makes you cry....serve jalepeno chips!:)!
